When am I most happy? There are many things that make me happy! Examples are working out at the gym, travelling to new and different places, spending time with my daughter and simple things like hanging with animals and nature, meditating, hiking and watching my favourite shows and movies.
The Gym
This post leads me of course to why the gym makes me happy. I could be having the worst day and simply by being in and around iron brings me renewed energy and a zest for life. I love lifting. I also love cardio. There’s literally nothing I don’t like about being at the gym. There are so many benefits, both health wise and mentally. Emotional benefits are there as well. It can lower stress and anxiety, reduce your risk of heart disease and other illnesses, decrease depression and make you feel strong and empowered. Not to mention you look pretty damn good too!
Lets Talk Travel
Travelling in and around where I live, in Canada also makes me happy. Not to mention travelling to other countries! I do like to travel to Montreal quite often which is about a six to seven train ride from where I am so it’s something I would definitely consider a trip. I usually go there for about a week and try to speak French the whole time. It’s so fun!
Last year I went on an European trip as well as Australia. I went to Rome, Paris and London in Europe and Perth in Western Australia. I loved Paris and Australia the most. The people are lovely in both places for different reasons. In Paris, they’re not big on small talk but will help you and look after you to make sure you’re safe and not in any trouble. I love that. It has a sense of community in such a big city!
Australians are friendly and are experts at small talk! They are very much like Canadians which is one of the reasons it felt like home. The environments in both places are gorgeous! Paris is extremely aesthetic. The ideal place to get your perfect selfie. Australia’s beaches, parks and wildlife are so beautiful! I was so happy there in Australia. Happiest Ive ever been. I truly loved that version of myself.

The Simple Things
The simple things like hanging out with my daughter, hiking, walking amongst nature as well as meditation bring me a different kind of happiness. It doesn’t feel new or exciting but it brings contentment. A sense of peace. The kind of happiness that is ever lasting. Long after I participate in these activities, the happiness lasts. That is pure contentment. Pure joy.
In conclusion, there are many things that make me happy, and for that I’m grateful.
