My Most Fun Way To Exercise
Daily writing prompt
What’s the most fun way to exercise?

I say my most fun exercise because I’m going to be really annoying and say all exercise is fun! I’m not even kidding! I love all exercise. It brings me pure joy whether it’s lifting weights, running, playing sports, gym cardio machines, classes, you name it! I love it all.

Lifting Weights

No, this isn’t my most favourite way to exercise but it comes in third. I love lifting weights because of the empowerment it brings me. I feel strong. I feel capable, like I can do anything after a good session at the gym. I literally feel like I can take on the world. And as a smaller woman who doesn’t weigh very much, it’s important that I feel this empowered. Especially in a gym full of men! There are so many benefits to weight lifting like increased bone density, fat burnage, increased strength and mobility but I won’t get into all of that. But yes lifting weights is very fun!

Running

Running is my second favourite way to exercise, the endorphins and pure happiness is the reason. I specifically enjoy running outdoors because you get to see all the small furry animals as you run by and it’s hard to beat that as a way to exercise! I run in the conservation area by my house and it’s beautiful in there with a lot of hills and trails to run up and down. Animals I usually see are bunnies, chipmunks, and beavers. So cute!

Number One Way To Exercise

The number one way to exercise, as in the most fun are hard core bootcamp classes preferably outside! These classes or sessions usually include some plyometrics of some kind like jumping squats, jumping lunges and also running hills. I like it because it combines cardio with strength training and calisthenics which is totally fun and gives me tons of energy and good high feelings. Plus I feel this is really a great way to become an all around athlete because you end up being able to do just about anything!

Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore. I feel that every single person can find an exercise they enjoy doing. And when they do find the one exercise or exercises then they should double down on that and do it as much as they can. As human beings we cannot go without exercise to stay healthy. So pick one you like and go for it! Thanks for reading!
