I could sit here and tell you the reason you’re not losing weight is because you don’t have a solid plan. Or your nutrition is not up to par. Maybe you don’t work out hard enough or often enough. But those are not the real true reasons for weight loss failure.

I have been training people since the year 2000. I have helped alot of people lose weight, inches and fat. I have seen people be very successful at attaining their goals and then I have also seen people fail. And there is always one singular reason they fail. That one reason is low self esteem and not being able to picture in their minds the goal that they have set out for themselves. They simply just don’t think they are worth it.

That’s what it all boils down to. You don’t think you’re worth it. You think your spouse is more important, your kids are more important, your friends are more important. And if they tell you they need you and that means giving up on your own goals, you will do it. In a heartbeat.

You need to start putting yourself first or at least equal to others. But it’s not even as simple as that. You must think you are worth being successful. You need to start to envision yourself losing the weight, getting to your goal and keeping it off. Surround yourself with supportive people, if they are not supportive then ditch them for a while. I know, that sounds mean right? That’s because you think you are not worth supportive people. You are! And you are worth being happy and being able to achieve any goal you set out for yourself. Tell your kids, your spouse and family members that you are going to the gym (or for a run or however you are getting your workouts in) regularly and you will not ever be skipping out on it unless someone’s in the hospital or on their death bed!

You will start to see that you can lose weight, It’s not your metabolism or the fact you are meant to be overweight. You’re not meant to be overweight, sluggish and unhappy. Repeat these things to yourself everyday and believe it. As soon as you begin to see yourself as a worthy person, you will begin to see changes. Major changes.

Well that’s it. The real reason you’re not losing weight is you. So do something about it!
