how to get rid of cellulite

This is for the ladies mostly, although men can definitely get cellulite it affects women more because we have higher fat levels. This is because we need it to birth children. It’s true. It is a fact.

This brings me to why we have cellulite or more to the point what cellulite is. It is fat trapped underneath our skin in connective tissue-*”Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs, but it can occur in other areas too. It happens when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.”

There are many products out there telling you that they can cure your cellulite with their creams, potions and pills. I’m going to tell you right now that they are lying to you. It’s impossible for any of these things to eliminate your cellulite because cellulite is so far deep into the connective tissue that it would literally be impossible to get at it. There are laser treatments but they are only temporary, lasting for a year or so and there is also something called subcision which can last up to two years.

There is something that will get rid of cellulite permanently though. Drum roll please!!!…..Exercise!! But not just any exercise so if you are thinking endless cardio you would be incorrect. Weight training and HIIT cardio will reduce your cellulite significantly and may eliminate it. I want to say “may eliminate” because it really depends on the severity and level of cellulite you have. But this way you are rid of it permanently and well it’s free! Close to free, You may have to get a gym membership.

For weight training you want to focus on building muscle. No light weights. Medium to heavy weights with hypertrophy goals. So 3-5 sets of 8-12 reps with 1 minute rests in between sets. Think compound movements as well including Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press, Shoulder Press, Back Rows, etc. Compound movements are ones that focus on working more than one muscle at a time.

For cardio, HIIT is the way to go. So short bursts of high intensity followed by lower intensity and alternate for a period of time ranging from ten minutes to 20 minutes. This type of cardio will help to maintain muscle while burning calories and reducing fat.

You will need to do these types of workouts 4-6 times per week.

I know, sounds like a lot of work right? Well wouldn’t it be worth it for you to know you could possibly get rid of cellulite forever and not just for a short time period? And not for a shit ton of money? You could even make it work for free! I don’t know about you but I like free as opposed to shelling out thousands for something that is only temporary like laser treatments and subcision.

There is no easy way out. But it’s worth the effort. It’s always worth the effort.
