Can Food Burn Fat?

Can food burn fat? I am seeing this everywhere! On the internet, social media, you name it. It’s ridiculous!! These articles and posts state that certain foods can burn fat. These foods specifically were Lemon, Avocado and Coconut. Albeit these foods are good for you and healthy. But food does not burn fat. Exercise does!

These foods will ‘help” along with your weight loss journey due to the fact that they are lower in calories than the body uses to digest them and in doing so aids in digestion and helps you to lose weight. There are certain foods however that will increase your metabolism by releasing the right hormones. Protein will release more human growth hormones and foods with selenium and zinc will support a healthy thyroid. You can boost your metabolic rate by eating clean, whole, fresh foods and avoiding processed foods and chemicals.

But I repeat again that no food will burn fat. A good butt kicking will. But seriously a good intense workout will burn calories which in turn will help you to lose weight. Calories in and calories out. As I ALWAYS say!!!
