8 tips for eating out while losing weight

It’s not easy to lose weight when you have a social life and want to still go out with your friends to eat. But it’s not as hard as you think! Here are 8 tips for eating out while losing weight. If you use these tips then you can most certainly eat out and have fun in your life while losing weight!

Order meat and poultry off the grill, nothing fried or in batter. Seek out leaner cuts of beef, such as tenderloin, flank steak, or strip as opposed to rib eye. And lean chicken with no skin.

Always order a side of vegetables again grilled veges with butter on the side.

When ordering salads as your side or main avoid Caesar Salad, go for house salads or salads with light vinaigrettes.

Rice vs Potatoes in restaurants- No Fries or Hash Browns. Order wild rice or brown rice, avoid white rice. Order plain potatoes and again ask for butter or oils on the side.

Don’t go to a restaurant starving you are more likely to partake in the bread and fattening appetizers. Nothing wrong with bread in general but restaurant bread is a no no.

If you’re ordering soup make sure it’s not one of those creamy ones. Tomato based or broth based are best.

If you drink wine, just have one only. And avoid dessert.

Having said all this, it doesn’t mean you can never have a night where you have whatever you want, including dessert, just make it in moderation like 2-4 times a month max.

Getting healthy is also a goal I have. It can be hard to keep things going. Life can through you curveballs and before you know it, that healthy routine is not so routine anymore. Some good choices have helped me. Doing the stairs instead of the elevator and even replacing junk food with healthy snacks.
